Default Rare Material merchant changes...

Normally I wouldn't say something like this, cause y'know...

QQ forums are that way---->

But, it'd be nice if we could input how many of a rare material we want to buy. I spent a good 25 minutes earlier buying 350 vellum -- request quote, buy (350 times each). I was feeling carpel tunnel coming on by the time I was done.

So like... We pick the rare material, it asks how many we'd like to buy, we put in the number, for example 350, it tells us it'll cost 77,000 gold for 350 vellum (or whatever it is we're buying, this is an example) and asks to confirm, and that's it. Kinda like when putting a quantized item in trade.

Troll away.

I have been wanting this to happen since the first pile of 10 fur squares i got from killing char in Pikens.

The reason behind the request, then buy was to make sure you could only buy what they had in stock, there HAS to be a way to have it check to see if there are 10, or 20 o 100 in stock and what the average price would be, as quantity decreases price increases.

IT would be even easier to do it for selling, you offer be 50 gold each i have 250, tada give me money, no need to have to sell them on at a time....

Oh I'd love this. I had a LOT of rare materials to sell that I accumulated over my years. Jade, ectos, amber, a few gems... I was there for half an hour, one at a time... It got to the point I was tempted to give them away.

Problem is that individual purchases affect the price. So someone can go in when price dips and turn around to make a profit like the real world commodities market. And this would make it easier for people to manipulate the prices. Nevertheless, I think buying in lots of 10 would be acceptable.

/signed Even just to set it for buying in lots of 10. Single piece buying is ftl.

/signed. Stupidly stupid idea that you have to click for every single Buy/Sell.

Either input the number you want or Buy/Sell in quantities of 10/25...whatever.

/signed, As much as i enjoy wasting my time Quoting and buying my rare materials, It would be nice to be able to buy in 5/10/15 or what ever would be acceptable to check that such item is in stock. However changing it permanently to 5/10/15 what ever it may be. Could become a pain in the arse, when buying materials such as ecto and such, and you have to buy in sets of 5, maybe wasting cash for those that do not have the luxury to splash out like that.

This.

If you could go in and say "I want 100 ectos at this uncommon low price of 4.5k each, (yes, I know 100k cap) that would be cheating the system.

There is no excuse why we have the current method to buy these materials. It's all pointless labor.

This.

It might be solved by 'simulating' batch transaction using number of single item transactions with price re-calculation after each one. But the total price would different from n*item_price and that would confuse the hell out of most players.

Actually sounds like a pretty good suggestion. Very frustrating sometimes to deal with material merchants.

You can't buy them in bulks because of how the system works. Each time you buy one, the price is recalculated.
But at least they should add a way to automate the purchases so you don't have to click again and again and again and again and again and then once again until your hands hurt.

Put a number of units you want, hit buy, and the client buys them one by one, without you clicking the button.
When the price changes or the number is reached, it should stop.

It's really annoying and unhealthy for hands to click so many times.
